Support. Love. Opportunity. This is what every child needs. And this story is about a 17 year old surfer from Dominican Republic, Isael Brito. From the streets of Boca Chica and learning to surf with Club de Surf La Boya to mentorship from Jorge Mijares and success within the Caribbean Surf Connection circuit to representing Dominican Republic in the 2024 ISA Junior World Championships, Isael's surf journey is still early but it is reflective of so many children in the area and across the world. Searching for support, love, and new opportunity. We are grateful for the opportunity to tell this first chapter and we hope that it shines a light on the impact on one's life through the joy of riding waves, regardless of contest wins, if given the access and resources.
