Bear is a ripe 16 years old. Shockingly, he was born and raised in Minnesota until the age of 10 when his family figured out the good life was waiting for them in coastal North Carolina. Once he was nestled on the coast, Bear picked up surfing immediately and the rest is history. Must’ve been his roots in skateboarding and snowboarding that allowed him to shred so quickly once he hit the waves.
Not one to brag, he lets us do that for him. He’s won multiple longboard and shortboard divisions in contests like East Coast Grom Tour and ESA. He recently took his first trip out west to California for the US Open. True to the surfers bible, Bear has an internal burn to travel and has been to London, Bahamas, Mexico, and about half of the states in America.
